This extension addition for the Lolli and Grace Original Embroidery Thread Winder allows you to easily wind Perle (Pearl) thread or other similar threads* onto floss bobbins or pins. It is made to fit onto the base of the Lolli and Grace Original Thread Winder, so if you already own the Original Winder you can purchase the extension set by itself. Or you can purchase the Original Thread Winder and the extension as a bundle.
*NOTE: This winder extension fits DMC Perle thread that is sold in hanks that form a one-yard loop when they are untwisted. (Other types of thread that are sold in a loop that is the same size will also fit this winder. There is a possibility that not all thread sold in twisted hanks will fit this winder.) If you need a winder that is only for standard 6-stranded thread, you will need to purchase the Lolli and Grace Original Embroidery Thread Winder.
Winding Perle thread (or any thread that is sold as a hank in a loop that is one yard around) onto bobbins or pins is tricky, right? Because when you untwist the hank it's difficult to corral that big loop while you're winding. This extension makes it a breeze to get that thread to behave so you can quickly wind your thread and get organized without all of that frustration!
There are two ways to purchase the extension set:
Option 1 - includes all parts for the extension ONLY (BASE IS NOT INCLUDED)
Option 2 - includes all parts for the Original Embroidery Thread Winder (base, hardware, spinning disc, pegs) AND all parts for the extension
The base of the Original Thread Winder measures 7" x 7", and the extension legs are 15" across diagonally. It stands 4-3/4" tall when assembled.
