I wish I could give 4.5 stars. It's definitely better than a 4 but not quite a 5. I just have very high expectations for this level of cost on a kit, even on a larger end product. Overall, this is a very nice kit. It has very generous amounts of thread, nice hoops, and fabric is clearly printed. And of course the design is beautiful, creative, and fun!
However, the chenille needle is extremely short and fine. I found I was poking myself or dropping it most of the time. I embroider a fair amount, but I don't know a lot about needles, but this one seems so tiny as to be useless to most people, and doesn't appear to be the needle she uses in the video.
I also didn't like much that the instructions were a bit vague and you really have to use the videos, which means I have to sit near a device and manually type in the unlisted links to the videos. I understand wanting to protect that information from wide distribution, but it might be better to just have more details in the printed instructions. I also didn't enjoy that the videos had commercials in them, which to my understanding you can disable.
That said, the videos are well made and clear, at least as far as I have gotten. They also give good general tips on embroidery.
