Free Embroidery Pattern - Maidenhair Fern
There’s just something enchanting about ferns, isn’t there? And maidenhair fern is one of my favorites out of all the ferns. So here is my gift to you – a free maidenhair fern embroidery pattern!
Feel free to use whatever method of pattern transfer you like best. For mine, I cut out the pattern, taped it behind my stretched fabric and then traced the design with a Frixion pen.
Here are the details for this hoop:
-Hoop size – 6 inches
-Fabric – Kona cotton (color: “Snow”)
–Frixion Pen
–Lecien Cosmo Seasons variegated thread (colors: #8014 for leaves and #8021 for stems)
I used a satin stitch of varying lengths to achieve the “fan” shape for the leaves, and I used the stem stitch (of course) for the stems.
