Simply put the skein of floss onto the pegs and pull gently - the winder turns smoothly, so winding your thread is enjoyable, rather than frustrating and tedious.
*This winder is designed to hold six-stranded thread (such as the standard DMC skein of stranded cotton embroidery floss). There is an add-on extension you can purchase that holds Perle and similarly-skeined threads. See the "Add Accessories" box above to purchase the extension.
Base measures 7" x 7" and the winder stands 4-3/4" tall when assembled.
